Frequently Asked Questions

What does being a Fiduciary mean?

As a registered investment advisor, Cambridge Advisors has a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of our clients.  In addition, a fiduciary is required to disclose any conflicts of interest and they have a duty to avoid or mitigate those conflicts.  Not all financial advisors are fiduciaries.

What is a Fee-Only Financial Advisor?

A fee‐only financial advisor is paid a set rate for the services they provide rather than getting paid by commission on the products they sell or trade.  Conversely, when an advisor describes themselves as "fee based" it normally means they receive a fee for services in addition to commissions.

Can Cambridge Advisors serve clients in states other than Nebraska?

Yes.  We have found that through virtual meetings, email and phone calls we are still able to provide a high quality service to clients outside Nebraska.

What is your investment minimum?

Our stated household minimum is $500,000 of investable assets for our investment management services. Under special circumstances, we have made an exception especially if we feel we can add value and have been introduced through a client, family member or friend.  For those who do not meet our minimum, our financial planning services - which include retirement planning - are available on a stand alone basis and with no minimum.
